Founded during the challenging times of lockdown, Purdie’s is a labour of love created by my wife and I. Our journey began amidst the uncertainty of a pandemic, with a desire not just to build a business, but to transform our lives.
Before Purdie’s, I worked tirelessly in a hospital during the pandemic, which inspired us to create something meaningful—a place where both our team and customers feel like family.

The name “Purdie’s” holds a special significance, paying homage to my beloved gran, whose timeless recipes inspire our creations. When we say “old school,” we mean it—each recipe is a cherished piece of family history, lovingly passed down through generations.
Our journey began in our cosy shop in the heart of Greenock, however, the overwhelming demand and our commitment to quality have led us to expand our horizons. Now, through hard work and countless requests, we are thrilled to bring our fresh and fabulous cakes directly to your doorstep, allowing you to experience the essence of Purdie’s in the comfort of your own home.
